About
This space is reservable.
The Quarry Amphitheater, nestled within the UC Santa Cruz campus, is a historic outdoor venue that seamlessly blends natural beauty with cultural significance. Originally a limestone quarry in the 1800s, it was transformed in the 1960s into an amphitheater by landscape architect Robert Royston. Over the years, it has hosted a diverse array of events, from commencement ceremonies to performances by renowned artists and activists. After a significant renovation completed in 2017, the amphitheater reopened with enhanced accessibility and safety features, preserving its unique terraced design. Today, it stands as a premier destination for live music and community gatherings, offering a distinctive setting for both daytime and nighttime events.
